Domain names that expire have a redemption window, this varies by registry but is typically between 45 and 90 days. During this period the last registrant (and only the last registrant) may restore the expired domain name before it becomes available for anyone else to register on a first-come first-served basis.
Restoration of an expired domain can involve manual involvement of our support staff, please ensure you contact us promptly if you wish to restore a domain name that has expired.
If you are not the last registrant but wish to register an expiring domain name as soon as it becomes available, we recommend using our Droplist service* which lets you use our registration engine to attempt to secure a domain as soon as it becomes available.
* Service is currently only available for .nz and .uk domain names
